·       The Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Petroleum Operations (ADNOC ONSHORE) functions throughout onshore development sites as well as in the shallow coastal waters of Abu Dhabi

·       As a global industry leader in environmental sustainability, we are the first in the world to capture carbon from the iron and steel industry.  Our Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) facility at Al Reyadah captures 800,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) from Emirates Steel Industries (ESI) each year, for use in the BAB and Rumaitha oil fields to support Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR).

JOB PURPOSE:

Leads and coordinates the activities for a team of disciplined staff covering sustainability and environmental aspects management on air emissions, wastewater and waste management, pollution control techniques, oil spills and sustainability.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

·       Job Specific Accountabilities

·       Ensures development and implementation of appropriate review, audit and governance plans.

·       Ensures quality provision of response on HSE inquiries and support to the organization in achieving all the annual HSE targets and objectives.

·       Ensures environment and sustainability arrangements and activities are executed as planned.

·       Ensures HSE Management System implementation and compliance with applicable laws and regulations by developing, reviewing and updating of respective ADONC onshore environment & sustainability systems, procedures, guidelines and relevant documents.

·       Provides technical advice, guidance and support to the department’s operations and projects and technical safety departments and to other divisions in order to deliver strategic objectives.

·       Facilitates and ensures effective implementation of Environment & Sustainability management practices to provide good working conditions and minimize impacts on environment.

·       Provides technical support in Environment & Sustainability management system to operating assets / terminals / functions / drilling and for the projects in design, construction and operation of AON assets through HSEIA process.

·       Provides advices, supports, and assurances to ADNOC onshore Corporate on matters related to Environment & Sustainability

·       Develops Environment & Sustainability parts of annual HSE Plan as part of Business planning for HSE Department and oversee the implementation to safeguard sustainability.

·       Leads, conducts and manages Environment & Sustainability audits to confirm compliance with ADNOC HSE Standards.

·       Develops the provision of Competency Profiling of Environment & Sustainability Critical Activities.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION

·       Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Science..

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

·       10 years of working experience in HSE within the Oil/Gas Engineering/Projects or petrochemical industry of which at least 4 years in a supervisory level.

 Professional Certifications: Certified Functional Safety Expert / Professional or equivalent professional qualification is desirable.
