DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

To accomplish Software Application Development Full Lifecycle:-

To design, code, and debugg mobile based applications based on various deployment platforms (e.g., USSD, SMS, Android, IOS etc.), operating systems, programming languages, database management systems, software analysis, code analysis, requirements analysis, software review, identification of code metrics, system risk analysis, software reliability analysis, etc.;

·        To provide Administration, Operation and Maintenance support of Dar City Navigator Mobile Application and other mobile Applications in DART System;

·        To assist and participate in analysis of user requirements, prototyping, development of new functionalities, maintenance of applications, integration of technological components, testing, deployment;

·        To design, code and debugg SMS, USSD and mobile based applications in various software languages,

·        To support, maintain and document software functionality;

·        To install and configure appropriate application servers based on the application programs to be supported;

·        To support, maintain, and prepare technical and user documentations for various software functionalities;

·        To undertake software testing and quality assurance;

·        To perform tuning, improvement, load balancing, usability, automation and

·        To produce detailed technical specifications and software code documentation.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE        

·        Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Engineering in one of the following fields; Information Technology, Information System, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent degree from a recognized institution.

·        Practical knowledge and experience of at least 3 years in developing large system will be an added advantage

·        Working knowledge of various software languages [PHP (mandatory), Java (mandatory), C/C++, .NET, Python], Strong knowledge on PostgreSQL and MySQL Database Management Systems; Knowledge on MS SQL Server, Oracle and other DBMS,  Practical knowledge in designing and development of chat BOTs and Payment Systems, Conversance with PCI/DSS requirement in software development, practical knowledge and skills relevant to the position,  and possession of relevant recognized Software developer professional certification will be added advantage.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

I.          All applicants must be Citizens of Tanzania and not above 45 years old, however, should also observe the age limit for each position where indicated.
