Chevening is the UK Government’s international scholarships programme. Funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office and partner organisations, which offer awards to study in the UK for one year on a fully funded master’s degree course.

ABOUT CHEVENING

Chevening is the UK government’s international awards programme aimed at developing global leaders. Funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and partner organisations, Chevening offers two types of award – Chevening Scholarships and Chevening Fellowships – the recipients of which are personally selected by British embassies and high commissions throughout the world. Chevening offers a unique opportunity for future leaders, influencers, and decision-makers from all over the world to develop professionally and academically, network extensively, experience UK.

REQUIREMENTS FOR CHEVENING SCHOLARSHIP QUALIFICATION

1. Be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country or territory. 
2. Commit to returning to your home country for at least two years after your scholarship ends.
3. Have at least two years (equivalent to 2,800 hours) of work experience.
4. Hold an undergraduate degree that qualifies you for a UK master’s programme.
5. Apply to three different and eligible? UK university courses. You must have received an unconditional offer from at least one of these course choices by the references and education documents deadline listed on the application timeline.
